The closest mountains are an hour from the city. Ourika is the valley for waterfalls, Imlil for a longer walk below Toubkal, and the Three Valleys trip shows several valleys by road in one day.
Agafay, the stony desert near Marrakech, fits easily into a day. Ait Ben Haddou, over the Tizi n’Tichka pass, is a long day with about four hours on the road each way.
The Ouzoud falls in the Middle Atlas and the port town of Essaouira are each two and a half to three hours away by road.
Every day trip includes pickup and drop-off at your hotel or riad and a private vehicle with driver. Lunch is paid on the spot unless the trip page says otherwise. Leave early and dress in layers: it is cooler in the mountains than in Marrakech.
