From your hotel or riad in the afternoon.
An Agafay desert dinner turns a free evening into a trip out of the city: the stony plateau of Agafay lies about 45 minutes south-west of Marrakech. You are collected in the afternoon and driven to a camp on the stony plateau in time for sunset over the hills, with the Atlas on the horizon. Tea is served on arrival, and an optional camel ride can be added before dark.
Dinner is a Moroccan meal served in the camp, outside on carpets and low tables or in a tent, followed by music around the fire on many evenings. The drive back gets you to your hotel or riad late in the evening. For a full day in the same area with the lake and a Berber village, see the Agafay & Atlas Day Trip.
