Board the calèche near Jemaa el-Fna.
A horse carriage ride in Marrakech is an easy way to see the outside of the medina: the red ramparts and gates, the Koutoubia, the gardens and the wide avenues of Guéliz, at the pace of a calèche. The ride lasts about an hour, with stops for photos along the way.
It fits well at the end of an afternoon after a walking tour, or for travellers who prefer not to walk far. Garden entrance fees are not included if you decide to stop and visit. To cover more of the city with a guide, see the Full-Day Marrakech City Tour.
