From your hotel or riad.
Quad biking in Marrakech runs on two kinds of terrain. In the Palmeraie the tracks wind between palm trees and earth villages north of town; in the Agafay desert, a 45-minute drive south-west, they cross dry riverbeds and bare stony hills with the High Atlas behind. After a safety briefing and a short practice, you follow a guide on your own quad, or share one with a passenger.
The ride lasts about two hours, with a stop for mint tea in a Berber village or at the camp. Helmets, goggles and a headscarf are provided; you do not need a driving licence for most routes. For two seats side by side and a roll cage, see the Buggy Tour; for a slower pace, the Camel Ride.
No licence is needed for most routes. The guide checks that you are comfortable before setting off.
Yes. A passenger can ride behind the driver.
Drivers are usually 16 or older; younger children ride as passengers or on a smaller quad. Ask us when you book.
