A buggy tour from Marrakech puts two people side by side in an off-road buggy with a roll cage and seat belts. Most routes run through Agafay, south-west of Marrakech, over stony tracks, dry riverbeds and the slopes of its bare hills; the Palmeraie offers a shorter, flatter circuit closer to town.
After a briefing and a few practice turns, you follow a guide in a convoy for about two hours, with a tea stop on the way. Buggies are priced per vehicle, which makes them a good choice for couples and friends. For a ride on your own machine, see Quad Biking; to stay on after dark, add the Agafay Desert Dinner.
